Troche, José “Toño” Antonio

Rochester, NY: José “Toño” Antonio Troche born in Yauco, Puerto Rico on February 14, 1956, passed away peacefully on September 02, 2017 surrounded by his beloved and devoted wife of 45 years, Digna I. Nazario, his children and his grandchildren. Born to the late Juan Antonio Troche and Luz Selenia Ortíz, José is predeceased by his son, José A. Troche; sister, Zulma Troche;and granddaughter, Isabella Hunter. He is survived by his wife Digna Nazario; children Mónica (Jeffrey) Boxx, Verónica (Lamonze) Hunter, Zulma (Jeremiah) Troche, Javier (Estrella) Troche, Bárbara Troche, his son’s widow María Troche, and 18 grandchildren whom he adored. In addition, he is survived by many relatives and friends.

Joséwas a retired truck driver of 44 years.  Playing and watching baseball was his passion, he was an avid NY Yankees fan.  José was an amazing cook, a history channel enthusiast and an amazing father and grandfather who had a love for his children and grandchildren unlike any other.

Calling hours to be held on Thursday September 7, 2017 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm; service to follow from 7:00pm to 8:00pm at James R. Gray Funeral Home located at 1530 Buffalo Rd Rochester, N.Y, 14624.
