My brother passed away jan 15th 2026 and the funeral home been so understanding and met me and my family wishes. And helped us created a beautiful obituary. Without there help and understanding I would be lost.
“During one of the most difficult times of our lives, Michael, Jim, and the entire team at Gray’s Funeral Home provided comfort, guidance, and exceptional care. From our very first conversation, they showed genuine compassion and treated our family with respect and sensitivity. Every detail—large and small—was handled with professionalism and warmth, allowing us to focus on honoring our loved one without feeling overwhelmed.
Their support, patience, and thoughtful communication made an unbearable moment a little easier to navigate. I have since recommended Gray’s Funeral Home to other family members and neighbors, knowing they will receive the same level of care, dignity, and kindness. We are deeply grateful for everything they did to help us create a beautiful and meaningful farewell.”
I am writing to express My sincere appreciation to Michael for his exceptional service during our recent bereavement. His sensitivity, compassion, kindness and attention to detail helped ease the burden of planning a funeral and allowed us to focus on celebrating the life of our loved one. Michael’s dedication to his work And his genuine desire to help others during difficult times Is truly admirable and reflects positively on him and his profession. Thank you again, Michael for everything your kindness was truly appreciated.
Today is recognized as National Funeral Director and Mortician Day. I know that it's safe to say that every experience you, Cindy and Michael encounter with families can vary. I would like to think they are amazing blessings! I had no idea what was involved until I had to go through it for my mom. I know I speak for my family when I say that You, Jim and your family were so incredibly compassionate, empathetic, loving and caring. You never met us until then, but we felt like we had known you for a lifetime. (I am sure that first hour with us felt like a lifetime for you! LOL)
You have the innate ability to be aware of others' emotions to minimize stress. Too often, we underestimate the power of a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, or the smallest act of caring. Death is just the doorway into Resurrection life. However, in that moment of planning that celebration, it's never easy to remember that. I am always reminded to be so very thankful for God's amazing blessings, no matter how big or small. Thank you, Jim, Cindy and Michael for all you do for so many!
Truly want to thank you James for everything you did to make the hardest time of our lives easier. Had no idea how to handle things and when your grieving you don't want to but you took care of everything. Even going out of your way to come to my home knowing I had just gotten out of the hospital. I cannot thank you enough!! When God calls me home I will make sure my children call you. And you will be highly recommended to all my friends. You are in the right line of work with your caring and compassionate heart. Thank you!!
Jim and Michael have handled four of our family funerals in the last five years. Each funeral was different than the other and they were very accommodating with every request. You can tell they understand that it is a difficult time and wish to lighten your burden. Their caring and attentive demeanor, even with questions days after the service, was greatly appreciated.
I'd like to thank you for your compassion and dedication to support our Family during the time of our Mother's death.
As you know we are to serve those who mourn and your devotion to accommodate the needs of our family, is and was generous of you and your Family's establishment.
Sincerely yours
Lisa M Farley
We would like to extend our deepest thanks and appreciation to Jim and Mike. The planning, calling hours, and funeral service was given a great amount of respect and thought. Every detail was addressed and every box was checked. Jim’s welcoming demeanor eases any tension that you may have walking in. We took comfort in his transparency and professionalism that was always displayed. I can't begin to thank you enough for the compassion and guidance that you provided for my family. This is a funeral home that will make sure you are well taken care of in all aspects. Thank you so much for allowing us to give Mom the love and respect she deserves. On behalf of my family, we are forever grateful.
There are really no words to express the kindness and support given by Jim and Mike, My Husband passed and everything went flawless. I had pre-planned his cremation. One phone call was what it took. Incredible. My Mom, Dad and myself have all pre-planned our cremations. I know we are in great hands. Thank you
We wanted to thank you again for your assistance in arranging for Laurie's dad's Honor Guard and holding his ashes until we could arrange the committal at the new National Cemetery in Pembroke. The service was amazing and so respectful for a man who served his country with no expectations in return.
You were so compassionate, caring and attentive to our every need during the hardest time of our life. Everything was beautiful. Thank you Jim for your kindness and comforting words. God Bless you
