Sharon Marie Smith

On April 11, 2024 at age 68 after a long battle with COPD. Sharon was originally from Hilton, NY. She is predeceased by her parents Blake & Dorothy Smith; fiance Peter Neal Rood, niece Cindy Lewis and second parents Jack and Grace Polly. 

Sharon is survived by her daughter Angela Smith; grandchildren Miracle Galland, Lovasiah Smith, Husayin, Chango, Shawntavia, Shawnalise, Trayanna and Areyanna Ross-Simmons; best friend Linda Jennejahn; siblings Nancy Bardo, Sandra Fulgham and Bruce Smith; 2 nephews and many others. 

Sharon fought COPD for many years and she did that for her grandchildren. Holidays and grandchildren's birthdays were always the most important days for her and she never wanted to leave her family. Even on her worst days, she was always happy. She wanted to love everyone and just wanted to receive love in return. She left this world peacefully and remained happy until her final day.

Friends and family are invited to call on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 from 2-4 PM, and a Service will begin at approximately 3 PM at James R. Gray Funeral Home, 1530 Buffalo Road, Rochester, NY 14624. In Sharon's memory, please consider doing an act of kindness for someone else.
