Gates: Rickey passed away Tuesday September 5, 2017 at Unity Hospital. Rickey was born November 25, 1952 in Rochester, NY to Alfred and Violet (Wallace) Forkell, who have predeceased him.

Rickey lived in Gates, NY his entire life. He recently worked at Nationwide Precision Products as a fork lift operator.

Rickey was a member of the Eagles Club in Gates for over 40 years. He always enjoyed coming out to his property in Livingston County to hunt and spend time with his family. He liked to tell hunting stories and stories of his childhood. He also liked to go to the 1000 Islands to fish and be with family. He liked to bowl. He bowled on many leagues in the area for many years and in tournaments.

Rickey was a Buffalo Sabres and Philadelphia Flyers fan.  He loved NASCAR, his favorite was Dale Earnhardt, as was evident by his large collection of memorabilia and vast NASCAR collection.

In addition to his parents, Rickey is predeceased by his brother William Wallace, several aunts, uncles and cousins.  He is survived by his sister in law Shirley Wallace, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  He deeply missed his canine companions Spike and Moose.

Family and friends may call on Monday, September 11, 2017 from 4-7 pm at the James R. Gray Funeral Home, 1530 Buffalo Rd. Rickey’s Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at 11 am in West Webster Cemetery (located on Ridge Road between Gravel Road and Bay Road).
