John Swartzenberg Obituary

On April 15, 2024. John is predeceased by his siblings Bill Swartzenberg and Janet Kane; sister Dianne Fairthorne. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Laura Swartzenberg; children Jennifer, Eric and Kimberly Swartzenberg; grandchildren Felicia, Leo and Luke; brothers Ed (Kathy) and Joe (Mary Ellen) Swartzenberg; sister-in-law Barb D'Ambra; brother-in-law Don (Heather) Fairthorne; loving pets Stevie, Abby & Sophie; a large extended family and many friends.

John was a Vietnam Veteran who was proud to serve in the US Marine Corps. He was also a member of the Hamlin Fire Dept., Holley Hell Hounds Marine Corps League, lifetime member of the Hamlin VFW, and long time member of Grace Church of the Nazarene. He had a passion for fishing and hunting and loved the outdoors. He cherished his family and friends, and he enjoyed bringing laughter and joy to them. He was a selfless man who was always willing to help anyone in need.

Friends are invited to a Funeral Service on Saturday, May 18, 2024 beginning at 11 AM at Grace Church of the Nazarene, 2924 S. Union St. Rochester, NY 14624. Interment will take place in White Haven Memorial Park on Monday, May 20, 2024 at 11 AM. Kindly consider a donation to Grace Church of the Nazarene or Toys for Tots in John's memory.
