On April 24, 2024. Geraldine was predeceased by her husband Charles R. Rinere; son Charles P. Rinere; brothers Tony & Frank Lattuca and son-in-law David P. Ludwig.
She is survived by her children Kathleen (Edward Tondryk) Rinere, Linda (James) Kadlec and David (Susan) Rinere ; daughter-in-law Carol Rinere; brother-in-law John Rinere; Grace Dewey; grandchildren Rachel (Kevin) Gustina, Brenda (David) Litfin, Kevin (Mary Katherine) Ludwig, Vanessa (Michael) Leone, Lisa Kadlec, Nick (Rachel) Kadlec, Katlyn (Matt) Kadlec, Sheila (Eddie) Burch, Emily (Jason) Eichas, Andrew (Anne) Rinere, Dick (Cheryl) Garey, Jennifer (Todd) Clausen, Stephanie Allmannsberger; great grandchildren Logan, Sabrina, Giavanna, Serafina, Tyler, Damian, Aurora, Dylan, Brody, Samantha, Rhyan, Jack, Sean, Bella, Emma, Amelia and Lily; very close friends, Jonie & Lucy; and all her friends at Villa Capri and Stone Wood Apartments; as well as a large extended family.
Geraldine loved to play cards and other games of chance. She enjoyed crocheting and gave many gifts of her own creation to her friends and family. Geraldine enjoyed the company of cats, though she had a fondness for all animals. Every Christmas, she would spoil her grandchildren with gifts and love. She enjoyed watching Westerns and classic television shows. Geraldine lived in an Italian neighborhood in Rochester for many years. She belonged to Rochester Fire Department's Ladies Auxiliary and later on, a senior citizen group who enjoyed meeting and travelling together. She was devoted to St. Peregrine Laziosi, Patron Saint of those suffering from Cancer and other life threatening illnesses.
Friends are invited to call on Tuesday April 30, 2024 from 5-7 PM at James R. Gray Funeral Home, 1530 Buffalo Road, Rochester, NY 14624. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 beginning at 9:30 AM at St. Theodore Church, 168 Spencerport Road, Rochester, NY 14606. Interment will be private in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
